Our commitments

 Sustainability

Sustainability and ethical production have been woven into the identity of Lorette Lingerie since our inception. We are proud to provide high quality, luxurious lingerie pieces that are attentively made through responsible sourcing and production practices.

🌿🌱🌿

Fabrics

Lorette uses deluxe overstock material from Canadian and Parisian couture houses. Through these relationships, we are able to source some of the finest fabrics and notions produced by Europe’s top mills.

This decreases the need to produce and transport new materials, ultimately reducing our carbon footprint.

Our signature Italian mesh is soft yet extremely durable, providing lasting longevity.

We always use 100% certified organic cotton for the gusset.

Production

Lorette works exclusively with talented seamstresses in the city of Toronto where we originally started Lorette lingerie. By making the conscious choice to not outsource our production, we offer a fair living wage to everyone involved in each garments creation. Every sample is carefully tested in advance and all produced pieces have guaranteed quality control before they go out the door to our customers. We work closely with every woman involved because we believe strongly that every positive intention put into the creation of a piece can be felt once worn.

Our embroideries are developed in Toronto by a talented mother-daughter duo originally from India. Their savoir-faire and expertise on manipulating embroideries for traditional Indian weddings matches with the delicacy of our fabric. By directly embroidering onto materials with a high-end polyester thread, the longevity and lasting uniqueness of our products are guaranteed.

Our collections are produced in limited numbers to avoid waste and overstock. We save all production wastage with the intention of using left over fabric and notions for future art projects and collections.

Packaging and Labels

Our packaging is minimal and printed on recycled paper. We provide consumers the option of opting out of extra packaging if they so desire.

Lorette labels are made in Montreal by a trusted family owned manufacturer. Similar to our fabric, we do not discard any unusable labels – rather we recut and reuse the labels for packaging and other branding materials.

Our mailers are lined with recyclable paper padding.

Growth

As our company grows, we want to make sure that we keep quality consistent. Lorette progresses carefully in order to control every step of development and ensure that we continue to have sustainability at the forefront of our brand.
